There's a new way to make music thanks to HighC, an educational tool that lets you compose melodies and generate sounds by drawing the notes directly on the application's interface.
You can use a brush to start your composition. The lines on the paper represent different music notes.

After you draw something, you can apply waveforms to the sounds you've drawn. The right column includes several dozen preset styles, but you can also use a series of patterns to make the sound much more interesting.
